DiuMitra Terms and Conditions
These DiuMitra Terms and Conditions explain how you can use our website, request community guidance, enquire about travel services, access learning resources and deal with independent providers. They explain when a contract may arise, what each party is responsible for and how payments, cancellations and complaints are handled, without removing your legal consumer rights.

1. About these DiuMitra Terms and Conditions
Welcome to DiuMitra – Travel & Visa Advisory. These Terms and Conditions apply to the website at https://diumitra.com/ and to our online information, enquiries, community features and services, unless a more specific agreement or mandatory legal rule applies.
DiuMitra is a community-led information and travel-support service for people with connections to Diu, Daman, the UK and India. Our website includes general travel information, travel-related enquiries, explanations of published procedures, community signposting, tools, directories, digital publications and learning resources.
Using a free page does not mean you have purchased a service. A paid contract depends on the actual booking or order process, the service description, any applicable supplier terms and the confirmation given to you. We explain different arrangements below.
These terms do not replace the terms of an airline, hotel, transport business, payment provider, authorised professional or other supplier with whom you make a separate contract.
2. Who provides the service and who is responsible?
The name DiuMitra identifies the website and services presented under the DiuMitra – Travel & Visa Advisory brand. Our contact page provides the public routes for contacting us about enquiries, payments and complaints.
Before you make a paid purchase, you should be told which legal business or individual is contracting with you, who will supply the service, what the price covers and whether any other supplier’s terms apply. If this is not clear, ask for written clarification before paying.
DiuMitra’s role may differ between a general information request, a chargeable service supplied directly by DiuMitra, an introduction to another business and a travel arrangement. Our legal responsibilities depend on what we actually agree to provide and do in practice, not merely on the name we give to a service.
3. What our services include — and do not include
We may explain publicly available travel and documentation information, provide general checklists, help users find official resources and introduce independent providers where relevant. We may also handle travel-related enquiries, offer website tools or publish learning content.
DiuMitra is not a government department, embassy, consulate, public authority, official application decision-maker, solicitor, licensed conveyancer or regulated financial adviser. We do not provide regulated UK immigration advice or services, individual mortgage or insurance recommendations, conveyancing, legal representation or regulated financial services unless the relevant activity is legally permitted and any necessary authorisation or exemption actually applies.
General guidance is different from advice about an individual immigration case. If you need a personal assessment of eligibility, an immigration route recommendation, representation, a refusal challenge or other regulated assistance, seek an appropriately authorised immigration adviser or legal professional. A description such as “community support” or “advisory only” does not make a regulated activity unregulated.
Information about Indian and Portuguese documents, OCI, passports, PAN, forms, benefits, banking and property may help you understand published procedures. It does not give DiuMitra official influence over decisions, processing, deadlines or professional assessments.
4. Enquiries, quotations, orders and confirmation
Sending a contact form, WhatsApp message or chatbot message is normally an enquiry, not a confirmed reservation, official application or contract for a paid service. An indicative price, availability check or preliminary conversation is not itself a guarantee that a booking or service will be supplied.
Where a paid agreement is made, the order or booking process and confirmation should identify the service, the responsible contracting party, the total price and mandatory charges, any relevant performance date, cancellation rights, supplier conditions and how to seek assistance.
Do not treat a proposed flight, hotel stay, transfer, course place or other arrangement as confirmed until you receive the relevant confirmation. If you have already completed an online purchase or paid a provider, any contract and consumer rights arising from that transaction remain effective even if an administrative confirmation is delayed.
Fares, room availability, exchange rates, schedules and third-party charges can change before a booking is accepted. We will not treat a material change as agreed merely because a website page has been updated.
5. Which terms apply to different arrangements?
Different products and services are subject to different rules. This summary helps identify the relevant contract but does not override any applicable legal protections.
Arrangement | What to check before proceeding | Main responsibility |
|---|---|---|
Free guidance, articles and checklists | Official source, publication date and whether individual regulated advice is needed | You verify information before making decisions; DiuMitra remains responsible for its own unlawful or misleading conduct |
DiuMitra’s own paid assistance | Written scope, total price, delivery, cancellation and complaints process | DiuMitra is responsible for the services it contracts to provide |
Flight, hotel, transfer, car hire or holiday | Confirmed supplier, itinerary, charges, changes, cancellations and any travel protection | Depends on the actual supplier, agent, organiser or retailer arrangements and applicable law |
Third-party professional or community introduction | Authorisation where needed, qualifications, costs, independence and referral disclosures | The provider is responsible for its own agreement; DiuMitra retains any legal obligations arising from its own actions |
Online course, downloadable guide or digital publication | Product description, access duration, compatibility, payment and cancellation information | The named seller is responsible for the digital product or service it supplies |
Please read the specific information provided at checkout or before a payment request. If there is a conflict between these general terms and legally required or individually agreed information, the mandatory law and applicable binding agreement take priority.
6. Flights, hotels, holidays, transfers and car hire
DiuMitra may receive enquiries concerning flights, accommodation, holidays, travel insurance, vehicle hire, airport transfers and bus hire. Depending on the transaction, another named company may supply the service, or DiuMitra may have responsibilities connected with booking, marketing, payment, arranging or selling it.
Before booking, confirm the operating airline or provider, passenger names, dates, baggage rules, accessibility requirements, taxes, deposits, payment recipient and change or cancellation conditions. Check any travel documents and supplier confirmations promptly, and raise errors without delay.
Some arrangements qualify as packages or linked travel arrangements under travel legislation. If DiuMitra or another business acts as an organiser, retailer or facilitator within those rules, the applicable statutory responsibilities remain in place and cannot be avoided by calling an arrangement a referral.
ATOL protection does not apply to every travel booking. Where an ATOL certificate is required, the traveller should receive the appropriate documentation showing the relevant ATOL holder and covered arrangements. No reference on this website is a promise of protection for a booking unless the actual booking documentation confirms it.
Travel insurance products have their own policy terms and applicable regulatory rules. DiuMitra does not promise that a particular policy is suitable for you, that a claim will be paid or that an insurer will accept every risk.
7. Travel changes, cancellations and disruptions
A booking may be affected by airline or supplier changes, visa or entry requirements, strikes, severe weather, government action, health restrictions or other circumstances. Contact the contracting supplier or booking contact shown in your confirmation for the applicable options and any statutory rights.
Date-specific travel services may have different cancellation rights from an ordinary online consumer service. Do not assume every travel booking has a 14-day cooling-off period, and do not assume that every booking is non-refundable. The result depends on the type of contract, the supplier terms and relevant law.
If you believe that a booking sold as a package is not being performed correctly, raise the issue promptly with the organiser using the contact details in your booking documents. DiuMitra will not exclude responsibilities that package-travel or other applicable legislation places on it.
8. Fees, deposits, taxes and payments
Where DiuMitra charges for its own service, the scope, total payable amount, payment schedule and material restrictions should be explained before a payment is taken. Separately payable government charges, supplier fees, taxes, insurance premiums or professional fees should be identified accurately.
A requested deposit must be explained in context and must be fair under applicable law. No term on this website automatically makes every deposit non-refundable. A refund or deduction must reflect the applicable contract, losses reasonably and lawfully recoverable, and any consumer rights.
Only make payments through instructions supplied by the verified contracting party. Never send a card security code, password, full banking credentials or one-time verification code through an initial chat message, and confirm unexpected bank-detail changes using an independent known contact route.
If a third party processes a payment, that provider may have separate payment and privacy terms. Please request a receipt or other durable confirmation of what you have paid and who received the money.
9. Your cancellation and refund rights
Cancellation and refund rights depend on the product, the way you purchased it, the agreed service start date and the law applicable to your contract. Our separate Cancellation and Refund Policy, where provided, must be read alongside the relevant purchase terms and cannot reduce mandatory rights.
Certain distance contracts for services have a 14-day cancellation period. If you expressly request that a service begin during that period and then cancel, the law may permit a proportionate charge for services properly supplied before cancellation; specific information and consent requirements apply.
For digital content supplied online, starting delivery within a statutory cancellation period may affect the right to cancel only where the legally required express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation are obtained. Buying a downloadable e-book or accessing a course does not, by itself, mean you automatically waive every refund or consumer remedy.
There are statutory exceptions to the ordinary cooling-off right, including certain accommodation, vehicle-rental and leisure services booked for a specified date or period. Defective services, incorrectly described digital content and other statutory remedies may still give you rights regardless of any change-of-mind exception.
10. Digital publications, courses and learning accounts
DiuMitra’s online learning materials may include free or paid courses, practice questions, workbooks, e-books, downloadable documents, videos, live or recorded sessions and other educational tools. The relevant product page or order confirmation should explain what is included, when access begins, whether access expires and any specific technical requirements.
Unless a particular course or resource expressly and accurately states otherwise, DiuMitra learning materials are educational and do not award an official qualification, guarantee employment, replace a government test or promise that you will pass an examination. Check examination rules and current syllabuses with the recognised testing or awarding organisation.
An online account is for authorised use by its holder. Keep access credentials secure, provide accurate registration information and do not share paid access, distribute restricted content or bypass technical controls in breach of the relevant licence.
If a class, livestream or course is changed, postponed or cancelled, your rights depend on the agreement and consumer law. Any proposed replacement or change to an existing purchase must be handled fairly and without removing rights already acquired.
11. AI chat, automated tools and calculators
Our site may display chatbot messages, AI-assisted answers, forms, calculators, practice exams and automated suggestions. Such outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date or based on simplified assumptions.
Do not rely on automated output to decide an immigration route, make an official submission, calculate a legally binding entitlement, choose a regulated financial product or deal with urgent health, legal or safety matters. Check important conclusions with official sources or an appropriately qualified professional.
An automated answer does not by itself confirm a paid service, booking, official submission or professional relationship. If you receive a suspicious instruction or a request for sensitive documents or payment, contact DiuMitra through the established website contact route before acting.
12. Professional referrals, mortgage and property information
DiuMitra may explain general property-buying and mortgage terminology, provide preparation checklists and signpost visitors to independent professionals. We do not provide conveyancing, property-title verification, a survey, legal advice, personal mortgage suitability advice or lender recommendations.
For mortgage, insurance, money-transfer or other potentially regulated financial activity, check relevant permissions with the regulator and confirm the provider’s direct contractual terms. For legal services, verify the professional through the appropriate register and obtain an engagement letter from the professional you choose.
An introduction is not a guarantee of a provider’s competence, independence, price, availability, insurance or future work. If a commercial referral fee or other connection materially affects an introduction, relevant information should be disclosed when required; DiuMitra remains responsible for disclosures and conduct that the law requires of it.
Property, land, rental and local business listings may contain information supplied by independent owners or advertisers. Do your own checks on identity, ownership, property rights, professional status, payment instructions and safety before entering into a contract or sending money.
13. Jobs, benefits, community listings and safeguarding
Employment opportunities, benefits information, business listings, community directories and volunteer introductions are provided for information or connection purposes. We do not guarantee a job, public benefit, placement, business revenue, suitability of a listing or personal safety.
Employers, government departments, local authorities, charities and independent providers make their own decisions. If you need a regulated or professional assessment, contact the relevant authority or a suitably qualified adviser directly.
Do not post discriminatory, fraudulent, abusive, misleading or unlawful offers. Exercise additional care when a listing involves children or vulnerable adults; no website listing should be understood as proof of safeguarding checks or professional vetting unless that has been expressly and accurately verified.
We may review, hide or remove a listing or limit access to a community feature when reasonably necessary to address safety, fraud, reported inaccuracies, lawful obligations or serious misuse. We will act proportionately, subject to applicable rights and any relevant contractual commitments.
14. Your responsibilities when using DiuMitra
Please provide accurate information where it matters, keep relevant evidence and booking confirmations, check names, dates and document details, and obtain permission before submitting information belonging to another person. You should verify official guidance directly before meeting a deadline, travelling or submitting an application.
You must not impersonate another person, use the site for fraud, submit false or unlawful material, infringe others’ rights, harass users or staff, unlawfully gather personal information, introduce malicious code or interfere with the website’s security and operation.
These responsibilities do not transfer all legal liability to you. DiuMitra remains responsible for its own contractual duties, representations and conduct to the extent required by law.
15. Uploads, messages and sensitive information
Use our contact page to find appropriate communication routes. WhatsApp and other external messaging services have their own rules, terms and privacy practices.
Do not send passports, identity scans, immigration decisions, medical records, children’s personal information, bank statements, passwords or full payment-card details through an initial enquiry or open chatbot. If a more detailed document is genuinely required, ask why it is needed, who will receive it and what secure process is available.
Information you send must be accurate and shared lawfully. If you provide information about a family member, employee or other person, make sure you have an appropriate basis for sharing it and avoid unnecessary details.
16. Personal data, cookies and promotional contact
The DiuMitra Privacy Policy explains the purposes and legal bases for personal-data processing, relevant recipients, retention, international transfers, individual rights and how to raise privacy concerns. The Cookie Policy explains storage or access technologies and relevant consent or objection choices.
These terms do not replace either policy. When external suppliers, video services, payment systems or messaging providers process information, their own notices and contracts may also apply.
Providing an enquiry does not automatically mean you agree to unrelated promotional messages. Any electronic marketing must comply with applicable consent, objection and privacy requirements.
17. Content ownership and permitted use
Original text, website design, learning material, tools and other DiuMitra content may be protected by copyright, database rights or other intellectual-property laws. You may view and use publicly accessible pages for personal reference and make uses that the law permits, including fair dealing where applicable.
You must not reproduce, sell, distribute or republish substantial protected materials without permission unless an applicable licence or legal exception allows it. Links to publicly available pages are generally welcome when they do not mislead visitors about DiuMitra’s endorsement, association or ownership.
You retain rights in content you lawfully submit. By supplying a public listing or review for publication, you give DiuMitra permission to display and technically process that submitted content for the relevant feature, subject to the agreed purpose, privacy law and your own rights. Do not upload third-party copyrighted or confidential content without authority.
18. External websites and independent services
Links to public bodies, consulates, travel providers, businesses, professional registers, payment processors and learning providers are offered for convenience and practical signposting. A link is not proof of endorsement, official affiliation, regulatory permission or ongoing verification.
Third-party websites may change, become unavailable or apply different terms and privacy notices. Review those policies and confirm the contracting party before placing an order or providing sensitive information.
Where DiuMitra is legally responsible for the way it describes, advertises, sells or arranges a service, an external link does not remove that responsibility.
19. Website availability, accessibility and changes
We may update information, repair errors, maintain security or alter website features over time. General information may become outdated as laws, fees, provider availability or official procedures change, so consult the responsible authority for current requirements.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability of free website features. Where you have paid for access or a service, any changes, suspension or removal must respect the specific agreement and your statutory rights; the website’s general update power does not permit an unfair unilateral change to your purchase.
Contact us if you cannot access a paid resource, experience an accessibility barrier or believe a significant factual error needs correction. We will consider the issue and any legal obligations applicable to the service involved.
20. Complaints, problems and customer support
If something has gone wrong with a DiuMitra service or you believe information is misleading, contact us through https://diumitra.com/contact/ with a clear summary and any relevant order or booking reference. Avoid attaching unnecessary identity or financial documents to the first message.
If your contract is with a separate airline, accommodation provider, adviser, course provider or other business, its direct complaints channel may also be relevant. Please tell us where DiuMitra’s own actions are part of the concern so those can be reviewed appropriately.
Privacy complaints should be raised using the details in our Privacy Policy; legal rights to complain to an appropriate regulator or pursue a lawful remedy are not removed by asking you to contact us first. Nothing in these terms requires you to waive your rights or prevents you from seeking independent advice.
21. Liability and rights that cannot be excluded
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Nothing removes your applicable statutory rights in relation to goods, services or digital content.
Where DiuMitra contracts to provide a consumer service, it must use reasonable care and skill as required by applicable law. If a service is not supplied as agreed, remedies may include repeat performance, a price reduction or other rights depending on the circumstances.
DiuMitra does not control the independent decisions of governments, airlines, employers, regulators, lenders or other organisations. We are not generally responsible for their separate conduct where the law does not impose responsibility on us, but we remain responsible for our own contractual promises, misleading statements, negligence and legal duties wherever applicable.
We do not impose a general exclusion of all direct losses, an arbitrary cap on statutory remedies or a blanket statement that every customer acts entirely at their own risk. Any limitation in a specific agreement must be fair, transparent and lawful.
22. Changes to these terms, disputes and applicable law
We may revise the public version of these terms as services and relevant requirements change. The updated wording normally governs future use and new transactions from the time it is made available; it does not automatically rewrite an existing paid contract without a lawful basis or agreement.
A dispute must be assessed under the law and mandatory consumer protections applicable to the actual parties, location and transaction. Nothing here deprives consumers of a court or other protection they are entitled to under applicable law, including where users are based outside the UK.
If a particular provision is found unenforceable, the other provisions should continue to operate where lawful and practicable. A delay in enforcing a right does not automatically mean that right has been permanently waived.
23. Contact and important next step
For questions about these terms, fees, bookings, course access, billing or complaints, use the official DiuMitra Contact page or email info@diumitra.com.
Before paying for any service, please make sure you understand who your contract is with, what you are buying, the total price, applicable cancellation rights, and how to get help. If a matter requires legal, immigration, financial or other regulated advice, use an appropriately authorised professional.
Important: DiuMitra offers general information and signposting for advisory subjects; it does not act as a legal, immigration or financial representative. For travel and other transactions, the actual supplier arrangements and applicable law determine responsibility. No part of these terms removes the rights that the law gives you.
